Summary
The Mossman Show Association secured a $498,700 grant through the Queensland State Government’s Show Societies Grants Program to design and build a new amenities block at the Mossman Showgrounds.
Douglas Shire Council is project managing the delivery of the facility.
Key Elements
Two change rooms, each with four toilets and four shower cubicles – the change rooms will not be designated male/female, rather they can be designated to suit users, e.g. if there’s a women’s comp, they may both be female on the day
Both disability toilets and shower facilities will be unisex
Two single toilets will be accessible from the veranda – both will be unisex
Area set aside for a canteen – no provision for cooking
Two storage rooms and a shared office/storage area will be available for sporting clubs
