National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

In the spirit of this year’s theme – More Than Just A Word. Reconciliation Takes Action, Douglas Shire’s Indigenous Events Committee will host a week of events and activities to celebrate Reconciliation.

Whether you chose to get covered in colour at Rex Smeal Park for the Colour Fun Run, plant a message of reconciliation in the Sea of Hands, or support our cultural performers and Indigenous market stall holders, let’s all join together and come out in force to celebrate NRW 2021 and make it count!
