New Playground
Four Mile Beach playground is getting a makeover. The old playground equipment will be removed and replaced with three new exciting pieces of equipment.
The size and appearance of the Cocowave Pendulum Swing is an irresistible invitation for all children to play. With its robust, oblong coconut rope, the Cocowave Pendulum Swing allows for swinging from a seated, lying or standing position. The thrill of swinging –mildly or wildly –is for bigger groups, of different sizes, ages and physical abilities.
The Starsurfer is an awesome play event for exploring and developing balance and coordination skills. It will attract tweens to play again and again, thanks to its multi- functionality. It has a rocking platform with space for individuals or groups rocking together. It has a multi-functional seat, inviting seated, lying or standing children.
The Tourmalet is a fantastic accessible structure offering children a variety of activities encouraging them to play longer, and come back again and again. It offers ample climbing and the slides are thrilling paths to get back down to the ground.
The old equipment and existing sand softfall material will be removed and construction of the new playground with new rubber softfall surface will be completed by the end of March 2022.
