Council resolved to adopt the Draft Port Douglas Sports Complex and Coronation Park Master Plan at an Ordinary Council Meeting on 30 June, 2020.
The Draft Master Plan will now go out for the next round of community consultation.
Douglas Shire Council is preparing a master plan for the Port Douglas Sports Complex and Coronation Park sites and has appointed CPR Group to develop the plans.
You are invited to play a part in planning the future of the site. We have had excellent input and ideas from stakeholder groups, Council and the broader community so far, which has shaped the draft master plan documents available for viewing, here.
You can use this opportunity to review the draft master plan documents and provide comment via this electronic questionnaire. Please take some time to review the documents and complete the questionnaire.
Please note that this is a planning process designed to assess your desired community needs, taking into account available funding and realistic timeframes. The master plan does not commit Council or any other organisation to implement the project elements, or deliver within a specified timeframe. The ideas and views of you or your organisation are important to this process to ensure that your issues are considered in the master plan.
Thank you for your valuable input and we look forward to staying in touch.
