Summary: A key priority of the Far North Queensland Principal Cyle Network Plan 2016 is to construct a 5.2km wide shared cycleway, connecting Mossman CBD to Newell.
Route: Commencing at the turnoff to Foxton Avenue in Mossman, this route travels down Mossman Daintree Road turning towards Newell Beach at the intersection with Newell Road, concluding at Marine Parade.
Distance: 5.2km
Category: Principal Route Priority A
The route has been categorised into three stages:
Stage 1 - Mossman CBD to Cedar Street in North Mossman
Constructed in January 2021
Stage 2 - Ceder Street to Newel Beach intersection
Design completed in June 2024
Stage 3 - Newell Beach intersection to Marine Parade.
Design completed in June 2023
