We are seeking a Team Leader to join the Building Facilities team.
This position is responsible for leading the delivery of maintenance, contractor management, capital works and facilities services across Council’s building portfolio. This role oversees the Building Facilities team, manages operational resources, budgets, procurement and contractor performance, and ensures facilities are safe, compliant and fit for purpose. The position also drives operational planning, continuous improvement and the implementation of contemporary facilities management practices to enhance service delivery and support Council’s strategic objectives.
Primary Objectives:
- The Team Leader Building Facilities is responsible for the operational leadership, management and
performance of Council’s Building Facilities function, ensuring the safe, efficient, compliant and cost
effective delivery of maintenance, contractor management, capital works and facilities services across Council’s building portfolio. - The role is accountable for leading and developing the Building Facilities team, managing operational resources, budgets, procurement, contractor performance and service delivery outcomes to ensure Council’s facilities are maintained in a safe, functional and fit-for-purpose condition.
- The position provides leadership in operational planning, risk management, compliance and continuous improvement, ensuring facilities maintenance and capital works activities are delivered in accordance
with legislative requirements, Council policies, service standards and community expectations. - The Team Leader also plays a key role in strengthening governance, improving operational performance and driving the ongoing maturity of the Building Facilities function through the implementation of
contemporary facilities management practices, systems and processes.
