Council crews and support are continuing to charge the water network in Port Douglas and surrounding communities.
Water production is not yet at usual capacity but is gradually increasing and being fed into reservoirs and the pipe network.
There continues to be a lot of air in the system which may affect the quantity of water available at various locations.
Staff are continuing to address those issues.
The Flagstaff Hill reservoir is now being recharged through booster pumps and this will allow supply to houses, accommodation and businesses along Murphy Street, Flagstaff Hill and increase water supply to Macrossan Street.
PLEASE continue to conserve water so that the supply can return to its normal operating capacity.
