Council has identified the water main located at Mossman Daintree Road located at Rocky Point is in need of replacement, construction will commence in December 2024.
The project is due for completion in February 2025.
The current water main (700m of 80mm asbestos cement pipe) will be replace by 100mm poly line.
Council will provide further updates when Rocky Point residents can expect water outages or traffic restrictions.
The new pipeline will be a robust system aimed at increasing resilience and dependability for the Whyanbeel water network.
JDI Earthworks and Machinery Hire will be completing the project.
