Planned water supply interruption
Council will undertake critical water main works to improve water security and network reliability.
Date: Wednesday 12 August 2026
Time: 9am–2pm
Expected duration: Approximately five hours
Areas affected:
- Sands and Beachfront estates
- Helmet Street
- Baler Street
- Cowrie Street
- Four Mile Beach toilet and shower block
Water supply will be temporarily interrupted while a new valve and section of water main are installed.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to store enough water for use during the interruption and ensure all taps are turned off.
Council apologises for the inconvenience and appreciates the community’s patience while these important works are completed.
