World Trail have built a new crocodile pump track in Mossman

Mayor Leu said new track had already proved to be a draw card for the region’s youth.

“Even before the fences came down, we had kids using the track,” she said

“That’s probably the best endorsement you can get and shows just how keen our youth were to see the track completed.”

“World Trail have done an amazing job and helped us deliver a really fantastic project for the youth in Douglas Shire.”

The community chose the design and Council engaged World Trail to construct.

A pump track is a circuit that features humps and banked turns designed to be ridden completely by riders creating momentum by up and down body movements, rather than pedalling or pushing.

Mossman Gymnastics will host a fundraiser sausage sizzle.

Port Douglas Bike Shop and Sportspower Port Douglas have donated prizes.
