The resurfacing and drainage works are completed with temporary construction fencing remains in place to allow the ground to dry out and the newly laid turf to get established
Contractors are completing an urgent drainage and resurfacing project at Little Cove, Port Douglas.
Over the past two weeks numerous springs have appeared and saturated the wedding area.
While the works are being completed a nearby stretch of the Flagstaff Hill walking trail will be closed but detour signs will assist the public to find their way around the area.
This job will be completed this week in readiness for the upcoming wedding season and more immediately for the safety of the community.
