DOUGLAS business owners can get free face-to-face professional workforce advice and tune into a webinar program over the next eight weeks.
The Douglas Economic Recovery Group is working with local Human Resources Specialists, HR Dynamics, to help local businesses get back on track as COVID-19 lockdown restrictions ease.
Douglas Shire Council has fully funded the recovery program, scheduled to start on Wednesday 17 June, to help the local business sector persevere through COVID-19.
HR Dynamics Director Phoebe Kitto, who lives at Cooya Beach, said the webinars and one-on-one sessions were tailored to help local business owners manage their staff in the constantly changing environment.
“Local business owners, particularly in Port Douglas, have shown a great deal of resilience across workplaces clouded by uncertainty and confusion,” she said.
“The webinar program will feature guest speakers who can help businesses get back on track and navigate the ever evolving landscape.
“I am also keen to speak to local business owners for more in-depth discussions about how they are going and what they can do through any changes to JobKeeper and WHS requirements.”
Ms Kitto will be available at the Port Douglas Community Hall every Wednesday from 9am to midday.
