Douglas Shire Council is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused individual to join our team at the Mossman Pool as a Lifeguard (Casual). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patrons through diligent surveillance of all facility areas, maintaining pool safety standards, and operating in an environmentally conscious manner. You will be required to respond effectively and professionally to emergencies and unforeseen incidents, while contributing to a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all facility users.
Primary Objectives:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patrons at Council’s aquatic facility through diligent surveillance of facility areas.
- Maintain pool safety standards and operate in an environmentally conscious manner.
- Effectively respond to emergencies to safeguard patrons in case of unforeseen incidents.
- Contribute to creating a secure and enjoyable environment for all facility users.
