Red is the national standard for general waste bins and green lids are slowly being phased out in Douglas Shire.
All new bins issued will have red lids and any green lids which are broken will be replaced with red lids.
ONLY new bins and bins that require replacement will be issued with the red lids.
*PLEASE NOTE – this is not a mass changeover of lids and properties are not required to do anything.
