Planned Pruning of Rosewood
Douglas Shire Council will be pruning the Rosewood Trees in Warner Street, between Grant and Owen Streets, 6th and 7th November.
The pruning is part of Council’s maintenance regime for the trees. Dead branches are removed to remove unnecessary weight, and branches overhanging buildings will be trimmed to minimise damage to property.
Impacts
Work will commence no earlier than 7am and finish no later than 6pm both days. There will be machinery, equipment and trucks so there will be some noise generated in the immediate vicinity of tree trimming.
We do not anticipate any disruption to pedestrian or vehicle traffic, although there may be pedestrian detours created for safety reasons. To help contractors get in and out as quickly as possible, please avoid parking vehicles on the street in between the rosewood trees on these two days.
