Capital Works keeps delivering for Douglas Shire

MORE than $22 million worth of projects are expected to be completed by June 30 this year.

The latest Capital Works Progress Report showed there are 156 projects valued at $37 million in the current delivery program.

During the previous quarter, key projects that were completed include the Tara Hills culvert, speed cushions on Marlin Drive, road re-sealing program and footpath renewal program, to name a few.

COVID relief continues in 2021/22 Fees and Charges

DOUGLAS Shire Council has again frozen increases to some business fees to assist with economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Impacted fees relate to business licenses and approvals and planning and plumbing fees.

These fees are to remain unchanged to assist businesses who have experienced significant downturns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as promote development and stimulate economic growth.
