Grow your business profile with 2019 Douglas Garden Awards

LOCAL businesses have an opportunity to dig in and grow their community profile by sponsoring the 2019 Douglas Garden Awards.
Douglas Shire Council is calling for sponsors to get involved and make the most of exposure in the local community.
Mayor Julia Leu said local exposure was a fantastic incentive for businesses to support the popular awards.
“The inaugural awards were extremely well received by the community who were enthusiastic about showing off their innovative natural areas,” she said.
“We are offering our local businesses an opportunity to get involved and align their brand with the Douglas Garden Awards.”
ABC Gardening Australia star Costa Georgiadis will again be judging the awards.
There are three packages including Presenting Sponsorship, Gold Sponsorship and Silver Sponsorship.

There are eight categories including:
– Residential Garden
– Acreage Garden
– Edible Garden
– Sustainable / Environmental
– Professional Gardener – Residential / Other
– School
– Childcare centre
– Landcare / Farm

Gardeners will have from June 1 to July 12 to enter the awards, with judging to take place on July 31 and August 1.

Gardens will be judged on their design and layout, environmental initiatives, use of plants and creativity.

Key dates:
• Entries Open – Monday June 3, 2019
• Entries Close – Friday July 12, 2019
• Finalist Judging – Wednesday July 31, 2019
• Finalist Judging – Thursday August 1, 2019
