The organisers of Port Douglas’ iconic Carnivale are challenging people to influence “five years of festivals in five minutes”.
To assist in the long-term planning of Carnivale, residents, visitors and businesses are being invited to fill out a survey on the annual event.
Douglas Shire Council Mayor Lisa Scomazzon said it was important the community had the opportunity to shape the look of next year’s Carnivale and beyond.
“If you have an idea on how to improve Carnivale we’d love you to share your thoughts through this survey,” Mayor Scomazzon said.
“Your feedback can make a difference. The highly-successful Paradise Picnic at Rex Smeal Park was organised for this year’s event following community calls for more free family events.
“We want to hear from everyone – spending five minutes filling out the survey could influence Carnivale planning for the next five years.”
